Music Promotion Package


For our Advanced Portfolio, Cambridge requires us to produce 1 main media product supported by 2 linked ancillary productsFor the music option, this becomes a complete promotional package for the same artist and the same song.

Our package should include:

🎬 A music video (Our main product)

📀 A Digipak (ancillary product 1)

📱 A social media page for the artist (ancillary product 2)


Ancillary Product 1:

What it requires:

A minimum of 4 panels:

We have the Front cover, Back cover, and Inside panels specifically designed for the same artist and song as the music video.

Design Requirements include:

The artist's name, the Album or single title, high-quality images, typography that is appropriate to the genre, also consistent color scheme, and visual style as well.

The Same Artist image should be used, costume style preferably the same, Mood and color palette should be the same throughout, themes or symbols as well, this helps maintain brand identity.


Ancillary Product 2

The platform is usually Instagram, TikTok, or Twitter; however, it should look like a real promotional page.

What It Must Include:

  • The Artist profile image

  • The Bio can be (genre, vibe, identity)

  • Multiple posts posted (usually 9+ recommended)

  • Promotional content should be included, such as lyrics or quotes, release date announcements, bts shots, Teasers.

Cross-Media Consistency:

Everything must match:

  • The overall Digipak design

  • Music video style and theme

  • Artist persona and vibe

Audience Targeting: 

  • The target should be clear according to demographics.

  • Posts should appeal to: Age group, Interests, Music tastes.

  • Use of hashtags, captions, and emojis.


MV requirements:

The music video's requirements are that its length should be 2-4 minutes and must not be a trailer or teaser; it should be complete until the end of the song. The music can be original or a section of an existing track (with school permissions), and it must be copyright-free. 

Expectations include demonstrating media language with various camera shots (close-ups, mid-shots, long shots) and continuity in editing synced to the music. The mise-en-scène should effectively manage costume, setting, lighting, and props, with a clear concept. 

The music video can be narrative, performance-based, conceptual, or hybrid. The artist's image must be intentional, with representations of gender, youth, emotion, and identity that suit the genre (indie, pop, R&B, emotional tracks, etc.). It should follow genre conventions but can deliberately challenge them without controversial topics. The digipack and social media page should represent the music video.
